From Washington, DC to Trenton. From Camden County to Monroe Township, to the entire state of New Jersey. Taxpayers deserve to know who holds political power, who receives government contracts, and where public money goes.
For decades, the names George Norcross, Congressman Donald Norcross, former Senate President Steve Sweeney and Camden County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. have occupied influential positions across South Jersey's political, labor, business and governmental institutions.
The network reaches into insurance brokerage, municipal risk management, healthcare, redevelopment, political fundraising and professional legal services.
And the connection to Monroe Township is not hypothetical.
Monroe Township's own official 2026 municipal budget identifies Louis Cappelli Jr. as municipal attorney under Mayor Gregory Wolfe. Cappelli is also Camden County Commissioner Director and a partner in a law firm engaged in government-related legal work. Capelli has also been alleged as a lobbyist for Data Centers.
That raises legitimate questions taxpayers have every right to ask:
Connections are not proof of corruption, but they are reason to demand disclosure, competitive processes where required, and independent scrutiny. The public deserves more than campaign promises about transparency. After all, our tax dollars pay for their salaries, services and professional appointments.
TRACE THE CONTACTS AND THE CONTRACTS.
FOLLOW THE MONEY.
